NutritionFacts.org: One of my favorite plant-based resources!
So is it just me who has a favorite website?!?
Is that “a thing” for anyone else?!? Or is it just “a Michele thing”?!?
Either way, let me tell you about mine…
What makes NutritionFacts.org so special? Let’s dive into why it’s one of my go-to resources:
#1. An answer for just about anything related to nutrition…
If you have a question about nutrition and how it affects your health, you can almost surely find the answer there!
Question about BLOOD PRESSURE? They have 200 videos that address that topic.
Question about SOY? They have 111 videos that address that topic.
Question about TURMERIC? They have 55 videos that address that topic.
And on…and on…and on…
#2. Easy-to-follow videos…
One of the best things about this website is that most of the information shared on it is served up in “bite-sized” and easy-to-understand videos that are approximately 4 to 8 minutes long.
No need to struggle with reading challenging medical research, because Dr. Greger makes it all so easy to understand. And I love his rather dry sense of humor too!
#3. A factual and trustworthy source…
The videos are all very well done and share the current research on the topics at hand – oftentimes showing the very studies that are being referenced right there within the videos.
And check this out – they aren't biased by money from anyone –

If you're not sure what to look up first, I'd HIGHLY recommend you start with the video on the “WELCOME” page. It tells the story of WHY Dr. Greger started NutritionFacts.org in the first place. It's just 2 ½ minutes long and is actually very touching. I promise you, it's totally worth your time…
One of my highest priorities as a health coach is pointing my clients to valuable resources so that they are fully equipped to continue their plant-based journey long after we are done working together.
I point them to websites like NutritionFacts.org. I tell them about my favorite plant-based books, movies, and podcasts. I tell them about my favorite cookbooks and kitchen utensils.
If I believe that it will make their shift to plant-based eating healthier, easier, more sustainable, or more delicious – I tell them about it.
