Do you know the #1 risk factor for death in the world?!?

The #1 risk factor for death in the world is HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, according to an article published in the Lancet in 2012 and referenced in the book, How Not to Die by Dr. Michael Greger.

Yup, there's a reason they strap that annoying cuff around your arm every time you go to the doctor for any reason whatsoever.

Because they know just how quickly things can potentially go downhill for someone with HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, they want to be sure that's not you while you're sitting in their office.  So they can address it right away. This is serious stuff.

Why is HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE so concerning?

Because it can lead to all kinds of terrible things - aneurysms, heart attacks, heart failure, kidney failure, and stroke.

You probably don't need me to tell you that you don't want any of those things happening to you.

But I'm gonna tell you anyway - as a physical therapist who has spent decades working with countless patients with every single one of those diagnoses - I'll tell you they are all awful and pretty darn serious.

What's that saying?  “As serious as a heart attack.”  Yup.

So please keep going to the doctor.

And please keep having your blood pressure checked.

And if you do have HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, please do as your doctor instructs.

Because I don't want any of those terrible things happening to you.

But there's something else you really should know about too - the incredible power of a plant-based diet when it comes to LOWERING BLOOD PRESSURE.

I've learned that, compared to non-vegetarians, the incidence of high blood pressure is 75% lower in vegans.

You should know that this result has more to do with the addition of plant foods than the subtraction of animal foods and processed foods.  So bring on those fruits & veggies…those whole grains & beans…those nuts & seeds, especially FLAXSEEDS (ground of course, so that your body can access all the nutrients they contain).

So that's what I've learned.  But does it work IN REAL LIFE?!?

Short answer is YES!

And it can happen pretty darn quickly, as it did for Chris, who shares her story here:

"I started working with Michele in June 2024. My primary goals were to get off my blood pressure medicine, gain increased energy levels, lose weight, avoid a diagnosis of pre-diabetes and generally feel good about myself and my health.

When I started working with Michele my blood pressure was well-controlled on medication with a systolic BP ranging from 100-120.

Within a week or 2 of starting on a plant based diet my systolic BP dropped into the 85-100 range.

Thankfully Michele had advised me at the beginning that this might happen and that if I had symptoms of dizziness or weakness that it might be from a drop in blood pressure rather than a perceived lack of protein or calories.

I contacted my doctor and he agreed to stop my BP medication. I have continued to monitor my BP, and my current BP generally ranges from 100-115 systolic and 60-70 diastolic OFF the medication.

In addition to being able to discontinue my blood pressure medication, I have lost 10 pounds, have more energy, and feel much better about myself and the positive steps I am taking to improve my health.

I used to have occasional symptoms of heartburn which also created some anxiety, and these symptoms are also gone.

Most of all, I feel like I have finally found the "magic bullet" I was looking for and have direct control over my health."

The “magic bullet” that Chris is referring to?!?

 Her NEWLY-PLANT-BASED DIET.

Are you interested in accessing this same “magic bullet” but just aren't sure how to get started with eating a plant-based diet?!?

That's where I come in.

I could tell you all about my coaching services, but instead, I'll let Chris tell you about it:

"Michele is a font of plant-based eating knowledge! I had read many books and articles in the past about the benefits of plant-based eating, but had never been able to make the transition to a complete vegan, plant-based diet.

I found it hard to figure out what to eat without feeling like I was eating the same thing over and over and couldn't figure out how to feed my frequent visitors who were not vegan.

Michele was able to help with all of this through her passionate enthusiasm and belief in plant based eating.

She provided links to helpful podcasts and documentaries to help me remain inspired and motivated about the benefits I would see, provided tons of recipes, and was a wealth of knowledge about specific foods to meet certain goals such as lowering blood pressure, lowering blood sugar, losing weight, etc.

She provides a very complete summary after each session, with links to recipes, helpful websites and more!

Moving to a 100% plant based diet can be a big transition, but Michele makes it FUN and DOABLE and the results I have seen to date keep me motivated to continue.

Michele meets you where you are at with your journey into plant based eating and provides the knowledge and inspiration to continue.

I couldn't have successfully made this transition without Michele’s help!
